The first time I heard of Ingrid was like six years ago while I was reviewing Green Goddess in East LA. I think the owner of the shop said the guy who created the strain brought it over from Holland. She gave me a free gram of Ingrid for joining the collective. The gram came in a small plastic bag and the nugs were not in the best condition. The smell was not great and I was not very impressed with the taste. I brushed this strain off as regs, if even. While at Green Goddess, I noticed the famous Ingrid sticker. After this encounter I began seeing this sticker in collectives everywhere. Respect for Ingrid; this guy has been out there hitting the streets like me...well I did not see Ingrid last time I was in the hood. So, a few years later I met this guy who was walking around the High Times Medical Cannabis Cup in SF with a cooler full of big buds with long stems still attached. It turned out this was the Ingrid grower who ended up winning for best concentrate. He gave me a fresh, sticky, three gram nug. Thanks d00d! I was much more impressed that time (second photo). Now that we are caught up with the past, the reason I am writing this review is for Green Cure located in Venice Beach. They carry some really dank Ingrid that is comparable to what I received first hand. Cured to perfection with an interesting cheesy poopy papaya smell. It tastes slightly better than it smells. Reminds me of UK Cheese. The nugs were covered with trichs and the fade is what you would expect from medz labeled indica. Visit the new GC for this strain or for some dank kush. They also carry this Ingrid at OGR. Always mention the Weed Connection.
